A Better Vision of Marketing
Marketers have a reputation for turning everything we touch into an attempt to earn money. Cars, beautiful highways, even relationships are often used in marketing. And, for many people, there is a frustration that everything has been commercialized.
There are many markets who do see marketing in this way as well. However, through my journey as a marketer, I have come to realize how important marketing is for us, especially for small businesses. Marketing, at its core, is about providing value. There are marketers who see that value only in money, and even some who see that value only in their own money, but we have a bigger vision here at Andrew Wittmaier Marketing, LLC. Our vision is that value extends far beyond money and into the enrichment of lives, businesses, and communities.
Promoting Value
We exist to promote the value of our clients and their roofing companies to their customers. That was the vision we were founded on, because I wanted value to be at the very core of what we do. This value impacts every part of our business, but there are 3 that stand out: clients, business, and customers.
Promoting the Value of Clients
At Andrew Wittmaier Marketing, LLC we believe clients are not just numbers, or parts of a money-making machine. We believe in the inherent dignity of every human being and their contribution to the world. For our clients, their contributions often involve their companies. However, we don’t just value your business. It is our priority to value you and support you in every way that we can.
This means that we don’t provide cookie-cutter solutions, or canned responses to questions. Our goal is to personalize connection as much as possible, as that is essential to showing people their value. You can always expect customized, personalized connections from us.
We believe that this is an essential piece to a better vision of marketing. Valuing the clients will trickle down into the value of many other things as well, including their businesses.
Promoting the Value of Businesses
We love small businesses. Personally, I see my marketing contributing to the value of roofing companies, which then contributes to the value of the community. Each company has a valuable “pearl” (a product or service), that they can contribute to the community. Our job is to care for that pearl and promote it to those customers who will also value it.
Our vision quickly divides from the common assumption about marketing in this area. Our main goal is not to commercialize everything, but to find creative ways to promote that “pearl” of your business to those most interested. Not only does this allow for better support, but this also creates better engagement with your brand. Truly promoting value will always catch peoples eye more than mindless commercialization, and it enriches the community and those that are a part of it.
Promoting the Value of Customers
Marketing has developed some bad habits over the years, mostly in connection to the focus on making as much money as possible. One of the main ones is the mistreatment of customers. Customers are lied to, tricked, and manipulated into products that they do not want and cannot use. We do not believe in utilizing such tactics here.
We are careful to remember that just like clients have value as humans, so do their customers. We promote our clients in a way that enriches the lives of their customers, which enables their customers to flourish. And, it makes better leads for you as a business owner, since the customers who truly value your product will keep coming back.
So, Why is Marketing Important for Roofing Companies?
This is all necessary context to answer the question of this blog post. There are a lot of different answers to this question. But, for me, and for Andrew Wittmaier Marketing, LLC, we believe marketing is important because it brings value to businesses owners, businesses, and communities. It is a way of showing your value and connecting customers who will value you and your business. At its core, that is the reason we market.
So, from one marketer who often prefers clear highways to those littered with billboards, marketing is relevant and important for every business. We are here to promote your value so you, your business, and your community will flourish.
